Baskerfest festival of street art and magic opens on Friday

Jugglers, clowns, dancers, magicians, illusion artists and musicians will all be part of the latest Baskerfest, that opens on Friday and lasts for nine days. The Macedonia square in the capital Skopje will again be the site for performers from across Europe and the world in the traditional event, which will also feature events in 10 other cities across the country, lasting until 13 July.

“This open air theater has brought positive vibes to Skopje for the past 11 years. We are expecting more than 100 entertainers, including from Mexico, Brazil, Japan, the United States, New Zealand, Spain and other countries”, said Mayor Koce Trajanovski.

The festival of magic and street art will be opened by magician Mr. Buginaga, dancer Suad Demirovic and German comedian Willy Wonder. Children will have a special corner for artistic workshops, and on Saturday the Park Beach will feature a large foam party.
