Best foods to help you conceive faster

Have you been trying to conceive without success? Could be you are doing everything else right besides your diet.

Your diet can affect your fertility by either increasing or reducing your conception chances. If you really want to get pregnant, here are some foods you should be eating:

1. Whole milk

Next time you are getting milk from the store, don’t go for the low fat choice. Instead, opt for whole milk. Studies show that non-fat or low fat milk has negative impact on ovulation. On the other hand, whole milk increases the chances of conception.

2. Spinach

Spinach and other dark leafy vegetables such as kale have folic and iron which increase fertility in women. In fact, some women trying to conceive start taking folic supplements way before conception to make it easier.

3. Fish

Meat is an excellent source of protein but if you are trying to conceive, go slow on red meat. Fish such as tuna, salmon and sardine are especially great sources of omega 3 fatty acids and they increase the chances of conception.

4. Healthy fats

Having too much calories is just one of the things that make conception harder for women. And since your body still needs fats, opt for healthy fats such as avocado, nuts and olive oil; they promote regular ovulation.

5. Watermelons

You should be eating fruits regularly for the sake of your health. But you should be eating them even more when trying to get pregnant. According to research, women who ate more carbs, proteins and animal proteins had more ovulatory disorders as compared to those who ate more fruits and vegetables.
