First group of Dutch tourists lands in Ohrid

The first group of 189 tourists from the Netherlands, who arrived by a “Correndon” charter flight, were welcomed at the Ohrid-based airport “St.Paul the Apostle” on Tuesday.

TAV Macedonia director Zoran Krstevski, Ohrid Mayor Nikola Bakraceski and “Fibula Air Travel” manager Asim Medzedovic welcomed the Dutch guests, who launched the summer season at the lake resort. “These charter flights, along with the regular ones from Basel, London, Zurich, the new Ohrid-Belgrade flight to start in June, as well as the charter flights from Brussels and Tel Aviv will contribute to large traffic at the Ohrid airport, but also increased influx of tourists in Ohrid”, said Krstevski.

Mayor Bakraceski wished the guests a warm welcome, promising that the local authorities and the citizens will do everything to give them an unforgettable stay in Ohrid.

Medzedovic said “Fibula Air Travel”, a partner of Correndon touroperator, guaranteed improved services and treatment of guests, accompanied by promotion of Ohrid and Macedonia’s beauties.

Amsterdam-Ohrid charter flights will operate twice and three times a week up to October 7, bringing over 25,000 tourists from the Netherlands.
