FM Poposki meets Greek counterpart Kotzias in Brussels


Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki met Friday with Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias at the sidelines of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels.

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs said discussion focused on the confidence-building measures and in particular on the results of the latest round of negotiations held in Skopje last month, as well as on the operational follow-up necessary ahead of the upcoming round of negotiations, which is to be held next month in Athens.

The Greek FM expressed his satisfaction at the first positive results of the process.

Kotzias asked for Poposki’s views on the current political developments in Macedonia, expressing hope for a speedy return to normalcy, in accordance with European political values and the necessary demonstration of a culture of compromise on the part of all of the country’s political forces, to the benefit of Macedonia itself, as well as the wider region of Southeast Europe, reads the press release.
