FM Poposki receives copies of credentials of China’s new ambassador to Macedonia


Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki was presented Tuesday with copies of the credentials of the new Ambassador of China to Macedonia, Yin Lixian.

Minister Poposki wished Ambassador Yin a successful diplomatic mission saying he expected the excellent relations fostered by the two countries to be further intensified during her tenure in Macedonia, MoFA said in a press release.

In the meeting, the interlocutors discussed priorities paving the way for future cooperation that had been adopted at the fifth meeting of heads of government of China and Central and Eastern European countries, held in the Latvian capital of Riga.

They welcomed the conclusion on establishing a center for cultural cooperation between China and CEE countries in Skopje as part of the One Belt – One Road initiative of the 16+1 process (16 CEE countries and China).

Talks also focused on multilateral cooperation and other regional and international developments.
