Gjorcev calls on SDSM to concede and congratulate VMRO-DPMNE’s victory

Following SEC’s confirmation over the victory of VMRO-DPMNE and the Coalition, Vladimir Gjorcev, on behalf of the VMRO-DPMNE, thanked everyone who voted and to all citizens because the elections were held in a fair and democratic atmosphere and called on Zoran Zaev to concede and congratulate VMRO-DPMNE’s victory.

“VMRO-DPMNE is the party that won highest number of seats, Nikola Gruevski has the mandate to form a government. We call on Zaev, if he has any virtue left to call and congratulate us. VMRO-DPMNE has won about 20,000 votes more that SDSM and therefore we have a clear victory. We do not expect Zaev to keep his promise of leaving politics if he loses these elections. It is up to him and SDSM membership to decide on that. We want to remind everyone that Macedonia is not the first nor will it be the last country in which there was a tight race in elections. SDSM and Zaev should demonstrate European values and congratulate us on our victory, accepting the election result as did the European community”, said Gjorcev.
