Gjorcev: VMRO-DPMNE winning in double elections


VMRO-DPMNE has announced late Sunday it is leading in the presidential election run-off and early parliamentary polls. Out of 66% of data processed by the party’s analytical center, VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition “For Better Macedonia” won 316.000 votes and SDSM 188.000 votes.

VMRO-DPMNE’s presidential candidate Gjorge Ivanov won 377.000 votes while his rival, nominated by SDSM opposition party, Stevo Pendarovski won 278.000 votes.

“Nikola Gruevski remains premier of Macedonia. Our homeland remains in safe arms. At the same time, Gjorge Ivanov remains at the helm of Macedonia,” said VMRO-DPMNE senior official Vlatko Gjorcev at a press conference.

VMRO-DPMNE’s MP candidates in the diaspora won overwhelmingly in the elections, he added.

Gjorcev thanked all 24 parties that were part of the coalition “For Better Macedonia, Team Macedonia endorsing the presidential candidate Ivanov and the members of all ethnic communities in Macedonia and abroad for their support.
