Gruevski meets Congressman Bill Pascrell

VMRO-DPMNE President Nikola Gruevski, who is on a visit to the United States, met with New Jersey Democratic Congressman Bill Pascrell. With Pascrell, who is a frequent supporter of Macedonian issues in Congress, Gruevski discussed the prospect of Macedonia’s NATO integration.

“We have excellent support from Congressman Pascrell and we count him among the friends of Macedonia, who have always stood behind our country in the past. I briefed him on the latest political developments and we shared opinions on how to proceed further, in building our strategic ties”, said Gruevski.

As one of the longest serving representatives in Congress, Pascrell told Greuvski that Macedonia should be allowed to join NATO as soon as possible, and will continue to work in this direction. “We had an excellent meeting. I see that Gruevski is open for cooperation as are the people in his team. You have good things ahead and Macedonia will be even better and more prosperous in the coming years”, said Pascrell.

During his visits to New York and Washington, Gruevski met with US opinion makers, members of Congress and administration officials and discussed the political situation, the migrant crisis and the prospect of NATO membership.
