Gruevski: We have credibility to promise 150,000 new jobs

I know that Bitola and the whole of Macedonia, on October 15, will not only vote for mayors, councilors, but also for the new era for Macedonia, for the new vision, for the new day, said VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski at Wednesday’s rally in Bitola.

He emphasized that the people will also vote for 150,000 new jobs.

“A vote for VMRO-DPMNE and the Coalition, a vote for Zoran Ilioski and the councilor list will simultaneously be a vote for 150,000 new jobs in the next decade in the Republic of Macedonia. Lowering unemployment rate below 10 percent, 6, 7 or 8, but below 10 percent unemployment rate in the Republic of Macedonia. As in other developed countries,” Gruevski said.

He said that VMRO-DPMNE has the credibility to promise such a thing, since after it came to power the unemployment rate of almost 40 percent was reduced to 22.5 percent.

Gruevski said that the new era foresees ¾ poverty reduction in Macedonia.

“It is planned to halve unemployment among young people by bringing foreign investors and by helping domestic investors to create new jobs. Halved youth unemployment and greater opportunities for acquiring a home,” Gruevski said.

He pointed out that in the next decade average economic growth of about 4 percent is predicted.

It will also mean two and a half times more per capita income. That is, the current 5,000 income annually per capita on average, to increase at the end of the next decade to over 12,000 dollars per capita on average, Gruevski explained, adding that this would mean two and a half times higher standard.

He says that the new strategy foresees Macedonia to have the lowest taxes in the world.
