Hungarian FM Szijjarto and EPP Vice-President offer support to VMRO-DPMNE for upcoming election in Macedonia

VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski held separate meetings Friday with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto and EPP Vice-President Sandra Kalniete, focused on the current political developments and upcoming snap poll in Macedonia.

Upcoming elections are the only way to come out of the political crisis, as citizens will have an opportunity to decide on the country’s future, Gruevski said. VMRO-DPMNE promotes a real program for meeting the citizens’ every-day needs, he added.

Gruevski reaffirmed the country’s strategic goals – the EU, NATO membership. He also listed the better living standard of citizens, economic development and creating jobs as priorities, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release.

Szijjarto and Kalniete conveyed their support to VMRO-DPMNE for the upcoming elections. The electoral results must be respected by all participants in the process, the guests said. They also voiced their support for Macedonia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process.
