Mickoski on two-day visit to Brussels – meetings with Hahn, Mogherini, Daul

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski is paying Monday his first official visit to Brussels. Mickoski is accompanied by VMRO-DPMNE vice-president Aleksandar Nikoloski and member of the Executive Committee Vlatko Gjorcev, who together will meet with senior representatives of the European Union, as well as representatives of the European People’s Party, which VMRO-DPMNE is a member of.

VMRO-DPMNE’s delegation is expected to start its agenda with a meeting with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn.

The delegation is also set to hold official meetings with MEPs Andrey Kovatchev, Paul Rübig and Knut Fleckenstein.

Mickoski will also meet with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, as well as with European Parliament President Joseph Daul.

The name issue will surely be one of the topics that the leader of VMRO DPMNE will discuss with the highest European authorities in Brussels.

On Tuesday, the delegation of VMRO-DPMNE will meet with MEPs Ivo Vajg, Edward Kukan, and the big supporters of Macedonia, MPs Marijana Petir and Alojz Peterle.

Mickoski’s visit to Brussels means legitimization of the new leadership of VMRO-DPMNE by the European Commission and the European Parliament.
