Net wage increases by 2.3 percent

Average monthly net wage paid per employee in October amounted to MKD 22.213 (EUR 360), a 2.3-percent increase compared to the same month in 2014, says the State Statistical Office.

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (34.2%), Administrative and support service activities (9.3%) and Other service activities (8.3%).

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Construction (3.6%), Mining and quarrying (3.6%) and Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (3.1%).

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in October was MKD 32.597 (EUR 529).

In October, 1.2% of employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
