New five-year contracts between 4,000 institutions and the Health Insurance Fund

A new five-year (instead of one-year) contracts which will apply from January 1, 2014 will be signed between 4,000 institutions and the Health Insurance Fund. Electronic diary and electronic medical record will be introduced, which will save 400 thousand pages of paper, time, and human resources.

These innovations are the result of negotiations between the Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia, the Macedonian Medical Association and the Association of Private Practitioners of Macedonia.

At today’s press conference the director of the Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia Maja Parnardzieva – Zmejkova informed that next year the medical card will be put into use.

“Currently we are realizing new accounting software within the Health Insurance Fund, and the effects are multiple”, added Parnardzieva – Zmejkova.
