New investment in Ilinden municipality to create 80 jobs

New investment worth €1.5 million that will create new 80 jobs is promoted Tuesday in Ilinden free economic zone.

‘Eco Club’ company is to construct first logistics centre for Hungarian products in Macedonia at an area of 8.700 sqm.

Cornerstone laying ceremony was attended by Ilinden mayor Zika Stojanovski, Hungarian Ambassador Joseph Bencze and owner of ‘Eco Club’ company Saso Janakievski.

Stojanovski expressed satisfaction that investment cycle in the municipality continues, and new plants that enable creation of new jobs are opened day after day in the nine local economic zones.

He said that municipality offers many benefits to investors aimed at attracting larger number of companies and opening of new jobs for citizens.

Ilinden municipality remains fully committed to the challenge towards investments, support to investors and reduction of unemployment rate which currently stands at 10% in the municipality, Stojanovski underlined.

Ambassador Bencze said that the trade cooperation between Macedonia and Hungary is increasing every year.

Two years ago we opened for the first time branch of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce for Western Balkans, which contributed to sharp increase in scope of trade between our countries. Thanks to this and successfully realized business forums in several cities in Macedonia in 2014 we achieved highest scope of trade then. The scope of trade was increased by 36% in 2015 and by 7% this year, Bencze said.

Investor announced that the logistics centre will become operational in the second half of 2017.
