Pope Francis extends condolences over Skopje flood victims

The Committee for Relations with Religious Communities and Groups said Wednesday that Pope Francis, via Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, has sent a letter to Skopje Bishop Kiro Stojanov, extending condolences to the victims of the storm that affected the Skopje region over the weekend.

“Following the dramatic storm that hit the city and its surrounding area, causing much pain to the people in the country, our Holy Father the Pope wishes that you extend his deepest condolences to the families of the victims. His Holiness prays for those who lost their lives, sending his apostolic blessing to all”, reads the letter.
