Poposki and Zannier discuss current political developments, Macedonia-OSCE cooperation

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki held Thursday a meeting with Lamberto Zannier, OSCE Secretary General.

Talks focused on sharing views about the current political situation in Macedonia and discussing the country’s overall cooperation with OSCE. FM Poposki praised the support extended by OSCE, being an organization committed to election reforms, integration through education and Macedonia’s bid to join the EU.

The interlocutors also exchanged views about current political matters in the post-election period, MoFA said in a press release.

“Minister Poposki underlined the importance of regional cooperation between Western Balkan countries in line with the best OSCE-backed practices and standards. In this regard, he mentioned the recent Western Balkans ministerial meeting that aims at offering ‘a joint approach for prompt EU integration’, including the agreed informal system to coordinate and align the activities of countries in the region striving to join the EU,” stated the press release.
