Premiere of “Golden Five” film closes Manaki Brothers Film Festival

The 37th edition of Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers’ Film Festival closed Saturday evening with world premiere of the Macedonian film “Golden Five.”

At the closing ceremony, Phedon Papamichael, world-famous cinematographer, was presented with Special Award “Golden Camera 300″ for Special Contribution to World Cinema Art. Simon Perry, world-renowned British producer, is the laureate of “The Big Star of Macedonian Cinema” award, presented by the AFPM/Association of the Film Professionals of Macedonia. Perry as chief producer of British Screen was one of the producers of “Before the Rain”, the most successful Macedonian feature film.

 

Winners of the awards Golden, Silver and Bronze Camera 300 were announced and “Golden Five” film was screened. The cast includes Slavko Stimac, Jana Stojanovska, Ljupka Dzundeva, Igor Angelov, Petar Arsovski, Vasil Mihail, Nenad Milosavljevic, Biljana Tanevski, Dine Drvarov, Stojan Velkov, Aleksandar Ristoski, Vlatko Ilievski, Grigor Jovanovski, Igor Todorov, Viktor Jakimovski, etc.

“Golden Five” film by director Goran Trenchovski following Bitola premiere will have its world premiere in the official selection of Raindance International Film Festival in London, on September 29.
