Vice PM Pesevski: Macedonia expected to see one of highest growths in Europe again

We still expect Macedonia’s economy to register a growth this year and that growth to be one of the highest in Europe. The projections we have, which correspond with those of many financial institutions, show only a slight drop, however it doesn’t suggest that a growth cannot be achieved.

This was stated Thursday by Vice PM for economic affairs Vladimir Pesevski after a promotion of the Electronic Cadastre.

The Vice PM noted that it was expected for 2015 to be a ‘record-breaking’ year in terms of announcing new foreign investments.

“There are intensive talks under way with a number of foreign companies… Most probably some plans have been delayed due to the situation, however there are ongoing talks with many other companies, whose investments are going to be announced by the premier and ministers. Understandably, the current situation affects the number of foreign investors causing it not to rise. Now, we are reaping the fruits of our recent labor,” Pesevski stressed.
